Synopsis
Originally published in 2000, this book seeks to identify the basis of calculations concerned with composite structures. It uses continuum mechanics to facilitate the treatment of more elaborate theories dealing with individual layers in laminated composites, both of anisotropic and orthotropic materials. Multi-layer plates are also considered, and beam behavior is described as it changes under various conditions. Decolon teaches mechanics at the Conservatoire National des Arts et MTtiers.
