About the Author

Drs. Davis, Hardten, and Lindstrom have been performing presbyopic lens correction surgery in their practice at Minnesota Eye Consultants for more than 30 years. They have utilized monovision intraocular lens (IOL) implantation since 1973, multifocal IOLs since 1985, and accommodating IOLs since 2003. Each editor has extensive experience in other forms of refractive surgery, including radical keratometry, laser-in-situ keratomileusis, photorefractive keratectomy, laser epithelial keratomileusis, Intacs, conductive keratoplasty, and phakic IOLs. This experience complements and enhances their authority in presbyopic lens surgery. They have also all held leadership positions in organizations that have shaped presbyopic lens surgery, including the International Intraocular Implant Club, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the International Society of Refractive Surgery, the Refractive Surgery Interest Group, and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
