Synopsis
Over 20 years ago, Dr. Carol M. Davis created the path for teaching health care professionals how to develop self-awareness and communication skills critical to providing ethical, compassionate, and professional treatment and care to their patients.

Experiential means hands on learning.
The appeal of this text seems to be in the fact that it is truly experiential, that is, the reader is led through a series of exercises at the end of each chapter that assist in the personalization of the content. Skill in self awareness, authenticity and relationship building with patients is enhanced. Case examples from 30 years of practice add reality to the learning. This is a best seller at SLACK, Inc. because of its versatility within all health professions.
