About the Author:
Nabil (Bill) E. Battikha, PE, has a BS in mechanical engineering with many decades of hands-on engineering experience in process control. He is the president of BergoTech Inc., a firm specializing in process control education at universities across North America. Over the course of his career, he has worked for suppliers of control equipment, consultants, and end users and developed experience mainly in engineering, management, and training. He has published three other books with ISA: The Management of Control Systems (1992), Developing Guidelines for Instrumentation & Control (1994), and Managing Industrial Controls (2014). He has participated in the creation of several ISA standards, has written numerous technical articles, and has co-authored a
patent and a commercial software package.
