Thomas A. Shannon is professor of religion and social ethics at Worcester Polytechnic Institute and Visiting Associate Professor of Medical Ethics at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. Charles Faso, O.F.M., is a Catholic priest and a member of the Franciscan order. He is director of Liturgy at St. Peter's Church in the Loop of Chicago and teaches at Catholic Theological Union in Chicago.
