Breaking Down the Closet Door of College Fraternities
"Out on Fraternity Row" brings visibility to "Being Gay in a College Fraternity" --- an issue that is still very much closeted in Greek life on many college campuses. Our hope is that many gay college students, student affairs administrators, Greek professionals, and closeted gay Greek men will read the personal accounts and realize how homophobia hurts everyone in the college fraternity... and then decide to take positive steps to create better Greek communities--free of homophobia. Gay Greeks are not alone.... this book breaks down the closet door of college fraternities. Gay men have made and will continue to make valuable contributions to the Greek system and together we need to break the cycle of invisibility and create safer learning environments on college campuses for glbt students. The book provides valuable resources for supporting gay Greeks and educating national fraternity headquarters, local fraternity chapters, and college campuses on issues surrounding sexual orientation.
