Her enthusiasm for using smart tricks to transform everyday food shone in Simple Food. Now Jill Dupleix, one of the world's most exciting food writers, has created a new collection of recipes that are even simpler. Reflecting the way we live, shop, and eat today, these scrumptious dishes can be prepared with a minimum of time and fuss. This book provides over 100 innovative ideas for lunches, dinners, special occasions, and desserts. Try Thai Corn Cakes, Jump-in-the-Pan Chicken, or Pineapple Sushi to impress friends and family, and add a sumptuous sweet like Chocolate Pear for dessert. Enticing photographs by the author illustrate each recipe. Jill Dupleix's Very Simple Food is perfect for those who have a passion for good food but very little time to cook.

Jill Dupleix is one of the world's most exciting food writers. Born in Australia, Jill established herself as an innovative cookery writer after coupling her love of food with a love of photography and writing. She was the food editor for the Sydney Morning Herald and The Melbourne Age. She is also the author of twelve cookbooks.
Jill loves cooking but doesn't relish spending hours in the kitchen--life is simply too short. She delights in coming up with new ways of producing exciting dishes with the minimum of time and effort. No one is better suited to creating appetizing, simple food.
Jill now lives in London and has her own food page in The Times Weekend every Saturday where her vivacious photographs are also shown. Her regular column led her to win the coveted Cookery Writer of the Year 2002 prize.
