Synopsis
When she was just sixteen years old, Marilyn Bell stepped into the icy waters of Lake Ontario and became the first woman in history to swim it. She then went on to become the youngest person ever to swim the English Channel. Her achievements changed the world's ideas about women's athletic abilities and endurance. Grammy-award winning singer Alanis Morissette had the top-selling album in history by a female singer at the age of 21. And these are just two of the Canadian girls who rocked the world.
