Included are summaries of key grammatical points and a reference guide to basic grammar; a glossary of usage; tips on writing style; a guide to bias-free writing; coverage of punctuation and writing mechanics; and, helpful advice on Internet research. Also included are sections on argument (including coverage of some basic points in logic) and on writing across the disciplines. ""The Broadview Pocket Guide"" covers citation and documentation in four commonly used styles - MLA (now updated with the 2008 changes), APA, Chicago, and CSE. It features wide range and clarity of coverage, including more examples than most competitors. Many instructors have praised it for not seeming to condescend to the student, for frequently expressing a sense of humour. Open to change in English. This title covers bias-free language.
