Synopsis

About the Author

Korok Ray is an economist on the accounting faculty of the Texas A&M University Mays School of Business. He is a scholar with interests in regulation, corporate governance, corporate finance, compensation, labor markets, venture capital, private equity, and housing. He has taught business students at all levels: undergraduates, M.B.A’s, and executives. He has taught classes in accounting, managerial economics, compensation and corporate governance. Korok has government and policy experience. He served as senior economist in the White House Council of Economic Advisers from 2007-2008. This gave him front row seats to the historic financial crisis of 2008. He reported on a variety of issues in financial markets directly to the president’s chief economist.
