CHAPTER 1

God gave us a special book called the Bible.

It teaches us about God, creation and the family. In it we learn how God made families to live together joyfully.

God is the Creator.

He made the universe and all the wonderful things that are in it.

He made the planets, earth, sky, sun, moon, stars, trees, animals, birds, fish, and He made man and woman.

He created everything there is-nothing exists that He didn't make. John 1:3 (TLB)

People are God's most precious creation.

People are not animals and we did not come from animals. God created us to be as beautiful as He Is.

He made us perfectly!

The Bible teaches us that God made men to be husbands and women to be wives.

Adam was the first man and he was the husband. Eve was the first woman and she was the wife. Together they were the first family.

Husbands and wives can be daddies and mommies of precious children.

Children should obey their daddies and mommies because the Lord made them to guide, love and protect the family.

God made the family a beautiful thing! The home is a wonderful place for fathers, mothers, boys and girls to spend time with each other and God.

God creates sons and daughters

and they can only enter the world through a mom and a dad.

Boys are called sons and girls are called daughters.

God designed boys to become men; men can become husbands; husbands can become fathers, uncles and grandfathers.
