The author was raised in the rolling hills of Marin County, not far from the Golden Gate Bridge. He grew up on and around the San Francisco Bay and it was there he developed a keen passion for sailing, merchant ships, and the foreign ports they frequent. He pursued a career in the maritime industry where he spent 27 years between afloat and ashore assignments. Most of these stories are the product of his imagination. Others were influenced by his personal experiences. Readers, decide for yourselves which is which. Today the author is semi-retired and living in New England where he spends time with his wife exploring the New England coastline, its harbors and inlets aboard their boat. Rex Inverness
