They find a magical book that transports them back in time to a Muskegon, Michigan logging camp owned by the famous lumber baron, Charles Hackley! James Tanis is a retired Michigan elementary teacher. He enjoys taking his love of storytelling, music, reading, and writing, to elementary schools for interactive assemblies and writing workshops. He lives in the "middle of the mitten" with his wife and two sons.
