SIMONE PERUGINI Composer, conductor and musicologist. Born in Florence in 1975, after studies in Composition and Conducting, he graduated in DAMS at the University of Florence with a thesis on music composed by Nino Rotathe Casanova Federico Fellini was published by Edition Sabinae. Musical assistant and choir conductor for the project “Studio Lirico” at the University of South Carolina, works closely with Alessandro Amoretti, Talmage Fauntleroy and Nick Rossi, pioneers of cimarosiana rediscovery. He founded the Accademia Lirica Toscana "Domenico Cimarosa" with which produces and directs the course of Advanced Studies for young opera singers, pianists and conductors”The Opera Workshop”. In 2007 he founded and directed the “Centro cimarosiano di Studi”, in collaboration with the University of Florence and with teachers and Musicologists of international renown, aimed at the study and publication of the critical edition of the works of Cimarosa. This project supports, in the same year, the projectCimarosa Rediscovered, Aimed at revived the works of the Neapolitan musician in the stages of Italian theaters, previously made critical edition. He is the principal Conducor of Cimarosa Chamber Orchestra. In 2011 he received the "Domenico Cimarosa" award of the city of Aversa for collaboration between the Academy Lirica Toscana "Domenico Cimarosa" Artaria Editions Limited and Naxos for his work in the rediscovery of cimarosiana production. He was also appointed Music Director “Ópera Jove” in Spain from 2015 to 2016.
