About the Author

NOEL SHAFI is a poet, author, and neuroscientist from New York City. His first book on chess, Chess Rules and Tactics, received positive reviews on Amazon. Shafi received his B.A. in Psychology and Philosophy from SUNY Oneonta, and received his M.S. in Neuroscience and Education from Teachers College, Columbia University.
