About the Author

Lee V. Stiff, Ph.D., EDSTAR Analytics, Inc. President, has been recognized for his work in math education via the Reginald V. Blackmon Award for Excellence in Teaching, the W. W. Rankin Memorial Award for Excellence in Mathematics Education given by the North Carolina Council of Teachers of Mathematics, a Fulbright Scholar Award to the University of Ghana, and membership in the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi. From 2000 to 2002, Dr. Stiff served as President of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, the largest organization of math teachers in the United States. Dr. Stiff has extensive experience conducting education research and professional development. He is widely published in the area of "equity and access" in STEM education.
