About the Author

As a former stockbroker, Mr. Von Tobel worked for various firms including EF Hutton & Co. and Shearson Lehman Brothers when God called him into full-time prison ministry work. Greg has been ministering in Washington State jails and prisons for the last thirty-three years, six years on a volunteer basis and the last twenty-seven years as full-time missionary to those incarcerated.

He is the founder and president of Prisoners For Christ Outreach Ministries (PFC), a ministry dedicated to taking the Gospel of Jesus Christ into the jails, prisons, and juvenile institutions not only in Washington State, but also worldwide. PFC has field offices in thirteen foreign countries, including Russia, Nepal, India, Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi, Congo, Uganda, Malawi, Ghana, Burkina Faso, Togo, and the Philippines.

Mr. Von Tobel has also served on the Governor’s Panel of the Department of Corrections, Religious Services Advisory Council, assisting the department in setting religious policies and practices for inmates. In addition, he has served as past president of the Washington Chaplains Association and was a former Duvall City Councilman.

Greg has been married to Rhonda for the past forty years, and they have three children and three grandchildren.
