The program contains quotes on Scouting within the Church from prophets and leaders during our Century of Honor partnership with the Church and the Boy Scouts of America. The program can be used during Scout week, or at any time with a BBQ or dinner, at a court of honor, blue and gold banquet, a campfire program or other activities.

About the Author

Kevin V. Hunt joined the Boy Scouting Program as a Cub Scout at age 8 and recently staged a Jubilee Celebration for his 50 years in Scouting. As a youth, he earned his Eagle Scout Award with four palms beyond the Eagle. He attended college at Brigham Young University and earned a B.S. degree in Youth Leadership (Boy Scout Program Administration). For seven years, Kevin was a professional Scouter and very much enjoyed his association with the Scouting volunteers. He has been a Camp Director at various summer camps. He helped to pioneer the Varsity Scouting program when it was a pilot program. Over the years, he has served proactively on various Scouting committees, was Cubmaster for seven years (in 4 packs), as an Assistant Scoutmaster for numerous New-Scout patrols, Scoutmaster, Varsity Scout Coach, Venturing Advisor and a member of various district and council training committees. He is a 3-bead Woodbadger. He is a recipient of the Silver Beaver Award. Kevin and his wife Lou live in Mesa, Arizona and are the parents of 9 children - 6 daughters and 3 sons. And they now have 32 grandchildren! All three sons are Eagle Scouts with three palms. Four sons-in-law are also Eagle Scouts. Kevin enjoys writing books and blogs, reading, outdoor cooking, catering and event planning, family activities, service to others, parties for friends, family history, camping, woodcarving and woodworking. He and his family and friends enjoy the backyard "cabin" and BBQ ramada that the family created together. Kevin is the author of numerous children's books and also many on Scouting and general youth leadership. He has maintained a personal daily journal for over 40 years and much of the material for his books comes from personal experiences as detailed in the journal volumes.
