Synopsis
Like a honeysuckle vine on a barbed wire fence, two stories are intertwined in a sweet, prickly, humorous tale. A precocious five-year-old visits his grandfather's farm in Georgia and develops a vivid imagination, then 50 years later sails from New Zealand to San Francisco, alone on a small sailboat in a state of bliss, his imagination still going strong.

About the Author
Dennis Rae Maggard is a recovering long-distance sailor living in Palo Alto, California with his lovely wife Pamela and his little sailboat "Pamela." He occasionally finds himself in deep solitude, either on a sailboat or in the wilderness, leaving him to face himself alone. Short of going beserk, he writes.
