Coy Roper is a retired college teacher and preacher who now writes full-time. He has written extensively on biblical and religious topics. In addition, he has written screenplays, stage plays, a novel, and, as this volume illustrates, poems and essays. He and his wife Sharlotte have been married for almost sixty years. After working in Canada and Australia, and in Texas, Oklahoma, Michigan, Tennessee, and Alabama, they retired to Abilene, Texas. They have three children, ten grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
