Generalfeldmarschall Erwin Rommel Desert Fox Dates:*15 November 1891 – +14 October 1944), Rommel, son of a high school professor joined 1910 voluntarily in the army and fought in the first phase of the war with the Infantry Regiment 124 on the Western Front.
