Basic Spanish for the Health Professions introduces basic Spanish grammar and basic vocabulary used in the medical professions. Each lesson is divided in three sections. 1) Grammar, reviews basic grammar topics. 2) Dialogs, presents different medical situations which includes medical vocabulary in the form of dialogs. 3) Cultural Notes, highlights a theme around Hispanic cultural topics and traditions in the medical field. The book includes exercises for practice. The cultural notes described in each lesson are broad generalizations about a heterogeneous group of Latinos.
