About the Author

Dr. Ruth L. Baskerville enjoyed forty-two years in public education, serving as high school English and theatre teacher, school administrator K-12, and central office human resources and curriculum directors. She spent one additional year as principal of a Christian Academy. “Dr. Ruth” earned a B.A. in Secondary English from the State University College at Fredonia, NY, and an M.A. and Ed. D. in Educational Administration and Supervision from Seton Hall University, NJ. She held Principal and Chief School Administrator certification in NJ, FL and GA. She moved from NJ to FL to be near siblings, daughter, son-in-law, and four grandchildren. Besides being the published author of HOODLESS KLAN (2013), FINDING HUMOR IN GRIEF (2014), and BEAUTY FOR ASHES (2016), Dr. Ruth is an editor, ghost writer, grant writer, and tutor for students in grades K-12 needing GED, college prep or grade level promotion. Dr. Ruth is a motivational speaker who conducts effective seminars on grief, healing, humor as a weapon against bereavement, and how to increase personal faith during the most difficult time in our lives.
