About the Author
The story is a true story of the author's attempt to become a chicken rancher in suburbia, illustrated by his oldest son. When the author told this story to adults, they laughed and enjoyed it; the author loved to read to his children when they were young and remembered reading to them stories that he enjoyed also. Reading to children is so, so important; the author's adult children still talk about the books that were read to them growing up, and now all enjoy reading books.
