About the Author

J. Harvey Hames was born in Atlanta, Georgia on Friday, September 30th. He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at Seven in Stockton, California. After starting school, Harvey attended eleven different schools before he got to grade eight. His dad left his mom when he was just two months old. Harvey has a brother eight years older, and a sister three years older than him. His mom stayed on the move so his dad would not come and take he and his sister. His mom got married again when he was six, and they moved to Stockton, California. Harvey accepted Jesus Christ as his savior at seven years old in Stockton. However, after going to twelve different schools in the first eight years of his life, he stopped going to church until he was seventeen. Then he went to Riverside Church of God in Atlanta, Georgia until he joined the Air Force Reserves for eight months. Received an honorable discharge and started working for Calvary Cathedral to become an ordain minister. At twenty-one he was married and had a son, Todd Lynn. After his wife's father died, he and his wife got a divorce and she moved to Nashville, Tennessee with their son. Harvey went into real estate at Bass & Weisberg, Realtors. Shortly thereafter they made him a manager. Harvey would see Todd on the weekends until Todd got older and married. Then maybe twice a year. After feeling lost for several years. Harvey started dating, seeing and living with a beautiful lady. They are still living together to the date this book was written. Harvey is getting older now and he told me he wanted to write a book, song or poem that would glorify God and last long past his time here on earth. He said maybe this book is one of the things that will last. He also told me he had a lot of books, songs and poems in him to write. Hopefully, this is one of many.
