Dallas McCall, a former combat Marine of the war in Afghanistan, is a stranger in the small New Mexico town of Little Creek. He is on a mission to find the people responsible for murdering his Marine friend turned rancher, Carlos Garcia. Dallas meets a pretty woman who owns and operates the local garage and gas station in Little Creek and assists him with the investigation of finding who killed Dallas's friend. He runs into trouble with a local rancher and his hired hands who are prejudiced against the Mexican ranchers. Dallas faces many obstacles and his life is threatened as he closes in on the people who killed his friend Carlos on Diablo Ridge.

Jerry Snodgrass was born in Butler, Missouri, in 1938. He was raised and went to school in Indianola, Iowa. He entered the military after graduating from high school in 1957 and successfully fulfilled his dreams of serving in the military and federal service, traveling to worldwide exotic locations for over fifty years. Jerry is a Vietnam veteran and is a Life Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion. His passion for mystery, suspense and the secrets of people who live in small towns inspired him to write Shadows on Diablo Ridge. He provides exciting reading with a fictitious mystery-suspense-romance novel set in current-day New Mexico. Jerry lives in Austin, Texas, with his wife, Rosemary, and their little Yorkie, Stormy.
