In Table I is given a Short Summary of the most important glasses investigated. Column 3 gives, the maximum transmis sion in the visible spectrum, and column 4 gives the per cent transmitted of the total radiation from a furnace heated to 1000 to 1 100° C. (see also Table 2, which gives data for sources of radiation having a different spectral-energy distribution.)
