Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book is an essential reference manual for counselors using the MMPI to analyze the mental states of their patients. It provides insight regarding the themes and patterns within the MMPI that reveal important information about a patient's emotional and behavioral tendencies. The author asserts that while the MMPI was developed using a small clinical cohort, it is beneficial to use with a broader range of patients including college-aged individuals. This book provides MMPI variables and factors that should be considered when diagnosing patients outside of the original clinical group. It presents counselors with a wide range of potential interpretations from test results, enabling them to develop solid and holistic patient hypotheses. The author discusses constructs, codebook materials and other concepts that can assist the counselor in gaining a full understanding of the MMPI. The interpretations in this book are derived from studies of relatively typical individuals, but counselors can expect them to also be useful for those with clinical diagnoses. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item. Seller Inventory # 9781528158336_0
