This book discusses three eras of the illumination of spiritual light: the first era is of the promulgation of the Gospel by Christ himself; the second era is of the Reformation; and the third era is the present time period. The author takes the time to define what he means by "light" and discusses the darkness and ignorance that the light dispels. The author uses historical events to give context to the different eras. This book is not just a historical account of Christianity; the author uses what he has learned from history to discuss the state of the Christian Church in his own time.
