CHAPTER 1

Love Redefined

Love at first sight.
This time it must
be not mistaken for lust.
Love itself is redefined.

In love with your mind, body, soul, spirit.
Your direct address of the most divine-
a connection that defines-
the essence of your being.

Dictating your good nature
as you venture through
with a loving heart, striving to
pursue God's purpose.

To love you spiritually
is the deepest way to love you.
You are joined with Him above you.
To love the body, a lifetime will be necessary.


Together

In your eyes I see
endless possibilities.
In each other's arms,
we can brace any storm.
Your soft lips I kiss
breathing and receiving
life and warmth.
Hand in hand,
together we stand.
Against all odds, together we'll win.
With strength from above
we face this empty world of sin.


No Tears

In my arms you'll never have to shed
another tear, only happiness, as I chase
away your fears.

I want to make up for the pain
I see, in your eyes.
You'll see
all you ever needed.

You and I.
Hand in hand.
This love can never
end for all eternity.

Together forever.
When it comes to you,
there is no other.


Heartbeat

Your love is my breath.
It keeps me alive.
You take me to heaven
and Baby, that's why
if you could see
yourself through my eyes
you'd see my heart
pulsing on the outside.
Baby, this heartbeat-
it keeps me alive.


Angel

I prayed so long
in misery
that an angel my Lord
would offer to me.

To me He sent you,
and now I know,
what forever to do.
I won't let you go.

I love this love
so real and true.
From Heaven above
my Queen is you.


Sweet Wine

Two souls meet-
Heaven knows why.
This love from above
we can't deny.

I feel the rush
of your gentle touch.
Our future lies
in our longing eyes.

We must not sever
our ties to forever.
Our empty insides
will, in healing, collide.

I pray that these lines
will our souls intertwine.
Together we'll savor
the sweet taste of wine.


Fallen Dreams

Tired of trying -
so many fallen dreams,
running from my failure's scream.
Is there still a chance
to build that happy home?
I'm tired of feeling all alone.
Just reach out and hold me.

The road is rough
but together we can live our dreams,
together we can out-run those screams,
knowing - if we take that chance,
the life we build together
will be will be more than just romance.

Imagine us, reaching that dream
together we make the greatest team.
There is nothing we can't achieve
all we have to do is believe.


No Need

No need
to believe.
Just open your heart.

No need
for your fear.
Just live it and feel.

No need
for this pain.
Let us live again.


The Road

The road is too long.
I'm weary, alone.
I'll risk being wrong
if it leads me back home.

With you by my side
I can travel on.
I'll be fortified
on a journey lifelong.


Another Night

Another night is gone
without my ribs' bone.
I'm praying alone,
for her to come home.

I can't wait for the day,
that her love comes my way,
when her kiss takes away
the pains of today.

There will be no need for tears,
as soon as she's near.
There will be nothing to fear
when she is finally here.


No Me

There's no me
without you.
I'll never
doubt you.
With you I'm complete.
We're meant to be.


Hope

I'm calling you with hope.
I hope it's not too late
for us to make another start.
I'm calling you to find
the place where I
live on within your gentle heart.


I'm Lost

I'm nowhere without you.
I'm empty.
I'm nobody without you.
I'm indifferent to others.
I want only you.
Even a queen
could not replace you.
I'm lost since my rib
went away with you.


Stay Ahead of
the Devil

I have not succumbed;
I have not stumbled.
I have not been consumed
by false promises mumbled.

Still, I won't go blindly
towards saving my soul
when without you my heart
turns to the blackest of coal.

Where is the angel
who helps me abide by
God's good direction
and push evils aside.


Prayer

Oh Lord,
please bring my baby
home to me,
I'm living in misery,
I know she's the one
that's meant for me


Wish

Wishing upon a star,
knowing that
your love's not far.
But when you are away,
I can't wait for the day
when you're forever
by my side.


Conquerors

I can't live without you,
tell me what I should do.
I need you in my life,
need to make you my wife.
Tired of being lonely,
please come and hold me.
Take away the pain.
my baby, my queen.
Please let me in,
together we win.
You and I won't give in
to this cold world of sin.


Always

Memories of
your beauty and love,
forever
embedded
in my heart, soul, and mind.

Thinking of
you keeps me
going
and growing
for you to be mine.

Dreaming of
the future
and happy days
not far away
with you I'll be fine.

Imagining you
in my arms:
we belong
together,
forever,
always,
for all time.


Stop the Rain

Caught in yet another rain.
My heart is torn,
yearning for your warm
embrace to ease the pain.
Just your touch-
just that much-
will bring me back again.
Only you can stop the rain,
erase and ease the pain.

Shine your heart
on this lonely love of mine.
For all space and time,
we shouldn't be apart.
All these themes
are hopes and dreams
until you hold me in your arms.


Tired

Tired of feeling
all alone,
ready for you
to be by my side,
we can build
a happy home.
Tired of the sorrows,
looking forward
to better tomorrows.
Only if you knew how much
I want and need you
by my side,
so I can feel
again alive.
In due time
I know I'll be fine.
Together we can weather
any storm.


Show me How

Praying for a better tomorrow
to vanquish the pain
and the sore aching sorrows.
I'm down on my knees.
I want to know what you see.
Without you by my side
I would die inside.

No longer alone.
Let us build our home.
I'll make up for your tears,
you need not have fear.
All in due time
all mountains we'll climb.

I struggle to find
my way to that home
in your arms and your bones.
Just tell me where
and just show me how
and show me, my love,
please show me how.


The Creation of
My Woman

The night we met
I prayed you felt the same way too.
That night, for me, the world was still
and for us a world
of boundless possibility.
Every dream, every thrill,
we, together, could fulfill.

You are the bone of my bones,
the flesh of my flesh.
I never want it to end.
I thank God I found my rib.

My love, I cannot be whole without you.
Don't leave me alone
craving tomorrow
praying I may see you
though tomorrow never comes.

you are my rib.

I still long to hold you,
as I feel my body getting weak,
where you were within, I fold
the walls of loneliness within my heart
and soul begin to close.

the flesh of my flesh.

This Life

You walked into my heart.

Can I Rest?

Tell me if
at the end of the day,
when my skies look gray,
and the days seem long
can I count on you to prove me wrong?
Can I come home to find peace and lay down
the stress?
Even after my struggles put me to the test?
In your arms can I find that safe place for my
rest?

I know. I want to make you
the center of life.

If you acquiesce,

Answer

Who do you love?
That doesn't matter.
How bright is the future?
That's just idle patter.

That's what is real.

That's the appeal.

What fate will be cast?
Depends on this banter.

One day I met you.
From then until now
I recall living without you
but I can't fathom how.


The Heart of
No Other

To keep love alive,
continue to feed it.
That love will thrive;
if you give,
you'll receive it.

Don't mistake love
for comfort
as some do for gold.
Don't chase the wrong person
with whom to grow old.

God has molded
and drawn
your one perfect lover.
Comfort will come
from the heart of no other.


The Gift

With you my life seems so complete.
You to take away the pains of loneliness.

Every day I long to be with you:
precious and perfect in every way.

Mind, body & soul,
you're so complete

No one can compete,
with a gift from God.


On my Knees

I'm down on my knees
asking the Lord, please,
help me be the man
that You and she need.

I want to chase away her fears
and dry her every single tear.

She can rely on me
when she's in pain.
I'll do all she needs
to feel happy again.

I want to be the man
that she always needs.
I'm striving to be
the best man I can be.


The Light

When all light was lost,
and everything seemed
it would come to the end,
your love came back,
spared me gray clouds again.

You showed me that life
offers endless beginnings.
I'm ready to start our journey as one,
Now that you're back
an endless love is our sun.


Meant to Be

I'm at a loss for words,
nothing to say or to do;
all I know is that I
cannot live without you.

No matter how hard we try,
neither one can deny,
that you and I
were meant to be.


Brave

Don't be afraid to move on,
even when the whole world
seems to cry out
to tell you you're wrong.

It won't take long
to conquer your fears.
No matter what's said
sing your own song.

Comfort is not all that it seems.
Be brave enough
to stand tall and surely you will
obtain all your dreams.


Dawn

I've been wishing and dreaming,
had hope for the day,
when your love would return
and you'd be here to stay.
Now that day dawns,
troubles float off with the tide
and the sun is redrawn
not just for me,
but for you by my side.
I'm no longer lonely
when you reach out and hold me.
Our magic remains
God's wise mystery.
Only the Lord knows
how we came to be.


The Reason

You are the reason
I'm reaching new heights
and have my eyes set
on new, larger sights.

As I feel your love
rising from within,
I'm a much better man
about to begin.


Made New

All things made new
the day that I met you,
from the very beginning
I knew you were the one!


Dedicated

It was your love
that set me free.
Because of you, now I can see.
So for you there's nothing
I won't do.
I promise to be the best man
I can be, for you.

There's nothing in this lifetime
our love can't endure.
A love so pure,
I never felt so sure,
never felt so secure.

So I thank the Lord,
for sending you to me
and allowing your love
to set me free.

I promise to cherish you

I'm grateful to have you
in in every way.
I'm dedicated
to loving you true.

My back against the wall
facing trials, fighting demons.
I thank the Lord above
for sending me a reason.

He sent my Angel,
the Queen of my life.

to face any strife.

to be loving and strong
when our children arrive.

as I'll thank you every day

My Strength

When I find myself on the battle fields
facing tribulation,

We push weakness aside
