Synopsis

Random Thoughts is a collection of thoughts and poems, expressing various experiences, ideas, or interactions, during my journey about this "mass of confusion" we call Earth. My hope is to show personal enlightenment, disenchantment, frustration, happiness, bitterness, and many other such irrelevant feelings as life is expected to go on! Some helpful insight for you would be nice or a laugh, or just to ponder things from a different perspective.

CHAPTER 1

    FOR ALL MY CHILDREN

    'Remember to always look ahead!
    That's where dreams come from!"

    "Feelings satisfy our hunger,
    But our heart is what feeds us!"

    "Dreams keep us from reality.
    Reality keeps us from dreaming.
    Yet all reality was once dreamt!"

    "To hide is to seek in darkness"

    "Failure is the most disappointing help you'll ever receive."

    "No matter what you try to succeed in, your failures will push
    you closest!"

    "If your dreams are in perspective then they're just safe
    thoughts!"

    Secrets

    Sorrow is the keeper of secrets.


    LIFE / LEARNS

    Determination will get you through
    Shear willpower will also do
    Remember every storm blows over
    Calm, Peace, and Sunshine remain
    Knowledge of this is what keeps us sane

    A time will come for you to shine
    Your abilities then, will open your mind
    You will offer your knowledge to solve a task.
    Large or Small, success is yours to grasp!

    Revel in the power of your gifts
    This will help your spirits to lift
    Your mental well being is always a concern.
    Be wise though as it's time to learn.
    You will survive by the credits you earn.

    Tomorrow will come, just as today
    But the difference is, you'll have a say
    No longer too burdened to hear yourself think.
    You will rise to the top with thoughts on your mind.
    To share your ideas what a concept to find!!!


    THE RELATIONSHIP

    Mindsets are a definite conflict
    Life experience is only perception
    Thoughts of excellence are relative
    Motivation is not one-sided.

    We are posturing for perfection
    Watching for neglection
    While moving towards a connection
    which will keep us in reflection.

    Physical closeness is realism
    Passion is to experience each other
    Without any fear of rejection, pure love
    Love that anticipates the other's needs.

    As one we no longer stand alone
    We erase our past longings
    Moving with knowledge of our dreams
    Dreaming farther and faster than we can move.

    Future involves pain, suffering, the unknown
    Traveled together softens the impact
    Our thoughts wander, yet merge to focus
    To stay the course, and be true to love.


    LONG AGO

    Times have changed from long ago
    When simpler was better, as we know
    We've created a different world.
    One that rewards us for smaller deeds
    With our own private possessions that suit our needs.

    Our dreams it seems have sold us out
    We wait for nothing, our toys we tout
    It's bittersweet when we look around
    Realizing our needs now have us bound.

    If you think like the world, get ready now
    Because nothing means anything it's all wasted hype,
    From the parties to cars, to the clothes of your type.
    We've all turned our backs on the Lord and our vow.

    Now the devil himself delivers our dreams
    All covered in happiness to hide the extreme
    Come one and come all to follow his way
    As the Lord looks upon you and then looks away.

    I ask you, when your times comes to go
    It will come I assure you, do not think that it won't
    Will you be lying there thinking was there more I could do
    The answer for all of us is easy to this
    We could all have done better, that's why we'll be missed!!
    Now the LORD comes to greet us reviewing his List


    ILLUSIONS

    Relationships, closeness, understanding,
    These are illusions for us to ascertain
    Our individual needs or desires.
    There is no reason for time, decisions to make,
    It's internal the clock. Our time to take.

    How presumptuous of us to utter a word
    That somehow we'll prevail, how absurd
    When it comes to the heart
    There's no more deceitful a foe
    You laugh and you brag as if you know

    How could you know, how many times,
    It has led you to someone, to be it all
    Yet always the same you take the fall
    Your mind is at fault, your heart close behind.
    You think it is love that you've searched for and found.
    Life has deceived you surely and sound.


    AWE

    It's a sunset, it's an ocean, it's a mountain that meets the sky,
    All these create emotion and stir us up inside.
    As we watch in wonder, in total disbelief,
    We admire each experience as it affects us as unique!
    We can only be astounded as we walk away.
    Remembering our feelings being there that day!
    Years from now we'll ponder and open up that door!!
    To have our hearts touched again and give us joy once more!


    ENDURANCE

    It was never meant to be
    GOD knows that for sure
    A lifetime of bad decisions
    With results a catastrophe

    Unrepairable, despicable as it may seem
    This life lived so far can be redeemed
    Always be wise, not to count yourself out,
    For tomorrow's a day we know nothing about!

    All time is a blessing, if only one day
    Remarkable things can be done, if we pray.
    The prayers for a wasted life to produce,
    Can bring varying answers left to deduce.

    Your life is not over, therefore can't be,
    A wasted life for all to see!
    There's much more inside you, great things for sure.
    You just need to hold tight; learn to endure!

    The best is ahead of us, it makes us go on!!
    No one can dismiss us as lowly or mentally gone.
    We right our own course, which way is unknown.
    What I'll tell is this, you are not Alone!!


    VALUES

    It is a time when all is broken
    No one stands their ground no more
    When morals are barely spoken
    All men run from lustful lure

    We must regain our footing
    Becoming respectful men again
    Stepping up to insure our values
    Not entering the Lions Den

    Let's make the move together
    Rid this world of worldly thoughts
    Keeping our passions home bound
    Winning this war justly fought

    For we will hold our heads highly
    Knowing we were tested to no avail
    For the good Lord that we worship
    Will always and forever prevail!!!


    CONFESSIONS

    The fault lies with me
    No other outcome could ever be
    Decisions made without testosterone
    The results are mine to own

    Too many times to claim negligence
    Too many times sittin' on the fence
    Not enough thought to entertain an end
    What future torments could he send

    As my life lies in ruin and waste
    The results of my actions a bitter taste
    So this is where I stand today
    Nothing to offer, just stories to say

    Stories of recklessness, abandon at best
    No responsibility taken, laws put to test
    Well I come to you now to truly confess
    I pray its accepted, to cleanse this mess


    MISUNDERSTOOD

    It was the love, never meant to be
    One sided decided, but not for sure
    Time spent together was enjoyable
    So fun, relaxing, no stress anymore!

    Beliefs were the same,
    Mine a little more tamed.
    My heart was there, though not willing to wait.
    I knew her response would seal my fate.

    More sadness it brought, too hard to endure,
    My life filled with anguish and now to add more.
    I feel empty again as I knew that I would,
    A fantasy that her love might match mine, misunderstood.

    I am older and foolish, entertaining at most.
    To try to attract a young woman and her heart.
    To try and succeed in my own life's new start!
    I must realize my place in this new world I'm in,
    And to understand I've been through most of what she has
    ahead.


    PRINCIPLES

    This great nation that we live in
    Has changed in many ways
    Once declared by our founding fathers
    Has seen many better days

    Our first and foremost principle
    That has led us through tough times
    Has been the LORD our Savior
    Glorified in our Bibles, in schools, and our minds

    "In God we trust" meant something to us then
    Not just a saying, but in hearts and souls of men
    God was a part of everything we did or said
    He was at our work, in our songs, always in our head

    The change now is evident
    Look around you and you'll see
    It's hard to find God anywhere
    How blessed can we still be?

    He's promised us salvation, during life and in the end
    If we follow His instruction, His hand, He will lend
    Are we worshiping Him daily, His needs do we tend
    If our future is to brighten, our minds must mend

    This nation will be great again, if we listen!
    Heed the warnings now, and our world shall glisten!


    GOD'S PLAN

    When your living in a world gone mad
    The attractions are hopelessly drab
    These desires of darkness permeate your brain
    To further your actions upon your claim.
    Which will it bring, passion or shame.

    Is there someone to run to or hold at best.
    While your life is trying to target its quest
    Will you recover will you forget,
    Will you remember with total regret

    Is there some kind of blessing misunderstood.
    A lesson to learn or foresee if I could?
    I don't know the reason at all that's for sure.
    I must just keep going to see and explore!

    Happiness is the calm that your soul seeks.
    No one knows when it comes whether years or in weeks.
    If this is God's plan, then so it must be,
    But the unnerving time-frame is devastating.


    STAND FIRM

    It is a time when all is broken

    LOST

    It was always meant to be
    Our struggle to be free
    We work everyday closer to our goal
    Never allowing the dullness to take its toll
    For if we did we'd lose our soul

    So through the years we toiled
    We rushed through our days & nights
    Never realizing our hands were soiled
    With the blood from our last fight
    Blinded by the glory of our future might

    Was it success or money, maybe greed was our lust
    It certainly wasn't love of life, or abundance of trust
    We cared not for simple things, the hidden beauty's there
    Staggering along our mule-like way with a blankish stare
    With the precious earth around us, we dare not glimpse or
    care

    When do we lose our vision, is it soon from where we start
    Or is it in the middle, when we're tired and losing heart
    Somewhere in our struggle, it happens to be sure
    Because you are no longer open to anything that is pure
    You've tossed it all for glory, a sickness without cure

    You look back now, through the years wishing to remember
    Where it was you went off track, missing the world in all its
    splendor.


    DESTINY

    Our lives are interwoven to various degrees
    We all have a journey we follow consciously
    The struggles and successes are what we follow most
    A way to measure lives, to cower or to boast

    To compare each one's struggles, to grade in a way
    Is simply just impossible, repulsive, lest to say
    Losses are a part of us, failures just the same
    We carry and hold onto them, as scars of our pain.

    Some last a lifetime, others, weeks or years
    Time consoles the weary, helps to heal the tears
    No person's is more or less, just handled differently
    You somehow find recovery, a future to see

    A journey can be loving, also full of hope
    For today has made a difference, easier to cope
    To be sharing this walk, is a blessing indeed
    A comfort, a heaven to safely care and need

    This person you connect with, in many similar ways
    To exist on different levels, and meet up with, one day
    You plainly see, it's plainly meant to be, this very way
    How else could all this happen, if not for destiny

    Stand up, go forth and conquer!
    Move on, look forward, and Live, Really Live!


    RIPPLES

    Gentle ripples intermittently splashing against the shore
    Coming up empty each time, so easy to ignore
    A constant, yes, but no power rest assured
    These are the remnants from once mighty ocean waves
    Slapping the beach continuously without fanfare or rave

    Timed so perfectly to easily hypnotize your mind
    So gentle as to mesmerize your soul, effectively
    Taking you somewhere else in time.
    A time not known to many, but exists non the less,
    A place where you can be yourself and never second guess

    Where what we know is plenty! No shortage of the truth!
    Our physical appearance nearing something towards our
    youth.
    A dream would? Maybe, or just a quick escape,
    It doesn't really matter, whatever is the case!
    Its a most relaxing place where no one keeps a pace,

    Yes, these ripples were once giant waves, meant to make
    A great big splash! Much like you and me as we started life
    at last,
    Slow in the beginning, speeding up to see great heights,
    Rising above our challenges, hoping to make all the wrongs
    into rights.

    Then like the mighty wave and the storms along the way
    We've dwindled to mere images of our once courageous day
    Settling to be ripples, as our children make their way!
