Synopsis

The quirky characters created by Naomi Patterson for Death By Catgut, return in Windmill Deadfall, the second book in the Angel Falls Chronicles. Nan, Angel Falls' unpredictable psychic, continues to dance in faerie rings and drink wine chosen by how pretty she finds the labels. Odd people, strange happenings and lots of cats are normal for her. The main character for this visit is Maureen Jensen, a hometown girl returning to the Texas Hill Country to heal and deal with a trifecta of grief -- a family memorial service, a broken engagement and an escape from her life in Seattle. Nan and Maureen become fast friends when the ex-fiance shows up in Angel Falls and then promptly disappears. Accusations fly at Maureen, aided and abetted by the arrival of her ex-almost-mother-in-law. Rita has her own agenda, and it has nothing to do with helping Maureen. Why does Maureen feel guilty when she's innocent? With fingers pointing from so many directions, Nan will have to consult her deck of Tarot cards to find out what's really going on. Windmill Deadfall -- The Angel Falls Chronicles, Book Two
