Synopsis

The story of "The Find" begins deep in the jungles of Central America and follows the adventures of Air Force Major Janet Miller on what starts out as a simple milk run. "Pick up four passengers at Cancun Airport, carry them to a point in the Mayan Bio¬sphere Reserve known as Chiliam Balam, shut down and wait while they confer. Then, return same and cargo to Cancun Airport." The mission however, quickly escalates to the journey of a life time. A journey which will affect her crew, her friends, her commanders and possibly, all of humanity.

About the Author

The author has spent a great deal of time in and around aviation as an aircraft mechanic working on a variety of helicopters and airplanes. At NASA he not only was able to work on many of their project aircraft but also performed ramp duty. As a happy consequence, he was privileged to meet many of the test pilots and astronauts coming to Ames on NASA business. He also served as mechanic on expeditions to Pago-pago in 1979 and to Australia in 1983. Later, he would move on to become a designer-draftsman and an Assistant Engineer for one of the area's aviation companies. Retired now, Charles divides his time between his wife and family and friends. A history buff, he enjoys civil war reenacting, as well as drawing, writing, traveling and the company of his pet cat Shasta.
