Synopsis

In her mid-twenties, Anna-Li has been through challenges in her life that many people never dear to face. Growing up with an emotionally unavailable mother, she lived with a constant feeling of not being normal and a constant fear of not being accepted and loved. She blindly carried co-dependency with her, through relationships and everyday life, until life with all its challenges pressured her to break down, forced to question her old patterns and ways. She had to paint her own, new reality, reinvent herself and reorient in relationships towards everybody around her. Separations of a co-dependent is a collection of her experiences of rethinking how she relates to the people she loves, her soulmate and family, life and death, and love itself. This is her therapy; chaotic feelings and emotions, old wounds, insecurities, monsters, love, pain, and fear - all processed through art, colors, words and poetry. This book is her precious collection of intimate feelings and memories from the past few years, published with the hope that people will be able to relate and get support and hope to manage similar situations.
