Synopsis

This keepsake edition of The First Book of Chronicles was taken from the King James translation of the Bible. The King James Translation is a masterwork of style, and the most important book in the English language, it  has been the driving force in shaping the English-speaking world for hundreds of years.

The First Book of Chronicles begins with Adam and the story is then carried forward, almost entirely by genealogical lists, down to the founding of the first Kingdom of Israel. The bulk of the remainder of First Chronicles, after a brief account of Saul, is concerned with the reign of David
