About the Author

Ingrid Johansson, PhD, was born in Sweden and lives in Stockholm. In 1997 she completed her doctoral thesis in Education at the University of Stockholm and then worked as a senior lecturer for 12 years at Mälardalen University. Her main research interests concern older people in working life, older people in general and intergenerational relations. Among other things she was involved in a project comparing the daily lives of older people in Sweden and Japan. In 1999-2000 she was an academic visitor at the University of Sheffield in the UK and carried out a comparative study on younger managers with older subordinates in Sweden and the UK. In the period 1972-1998 Ingrid Johansson worked with Human Resources in a private company in Sweden. In 2007 she survived lung cancer and her life took a new turn. In 2012, a couple of years after her retirement, she became a certified facilitator of The Passion Test and started a company called Senior Life Joy. Ever since, her interest in helping people to live a life aligned with their passions, grow and find more joy in life has continued to increase.
