The title of Ruth F Guillard's latest book, “And Still the River”, reflects a recent move for Guillard and her husband from their old farmstead to a house across the road, even closer to their beloved Damariscotta River. Wild geese fly past the windows, the tides ebb and flow, as do human emotions and insights, all captured in subtle hues within her poetry. She writes in varying moods and circumstances, with depth, yet with a light touch, and always with a feel for universal values.
