About the Author

Gerrit Hansen worked with young people in education and sports during his twenty-six years in Indonesia (1986-2012). During that time, he traveled extensively throughout Southeast Asia. He returned to the Pacific Northwest with his family in 2012, where he is writing his first full-length novel, The Power of Ancients, a young adult epic adventure fantasy that draws heavily on his Southeast Asian experiences.
