About the Author

Having worked with thousands of children of all levels and ages, I like to think I know what makes them 'tick'. I always try to write funny stories that anyone can enjoy, including parents and teachers, too. My stories can make children laugh and hopefully think a bit as well. I don't like to rely on illustrations as I believe the main ingredient of any reading experience is the imagination (if children want pictures to go with my books, they are invited to draw something for themselves in the 'Follow-up questions'). My humorous chapter books are for Primary School children of all ages to enjoy, including newly-confident or reluctant readers, or keen readers who like interesting shorter stories. Each of my children's stories and poems feature a set of 'Follow-up questions' at the end. Thank you for giving them a try and I sincerely hope you enjoy reading them as much as I've enjoyed writing them. Blog: www.peterallertonwriter.blogspot.co.uk As for me, I still travel widely, practice Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), constantly read up on science, and love being among nature. Learning and experiencing new things is a great reason to live (in Liverpool, my favorite city on Earth).
