The Carnegie Writers’ Group (CWG) is delighted to present our first publication, The Importance of Brainstorming for the Development of Ideas in Writing. This anthology includes works by group members and local authors. It provides a variety of strategies for brainstorming ideas in various areas of writing. In addition, it offers reflections on the nature and scope of writing. Our intent is to complete a yearly publication, and this year all proceeds will support The March of Dimes. The primary goal is to advance education, encourage collaboration, and provide resources for writers. Members collaborate by participating in writing activities, workshops and community events. Writing activities include power writing, progressive stories, writers’ workshop, guest speakers, and professional readings. The vision is to encourage writers by providing positive and productive support towards a successful writing experience based on their personal writing goals. The group was founded in 2013 by Oluwakemi Elufiede, Educator, Author, and Editor. She is the founder of 3 adult community writers groups in Savannah, Georgia, Huntsville, Al, and Nashville, TN.
