Hector Timourian was born in Mexico and grew up having to adapt to the different Mexican, Armenian and American languages and cultures. He is a retired biomedical scientist and educator. He feels liberated from the rigors of technical writing and is currently writing short stories and poetry. Many of his stories reflect his multicultural background. He has published Gifts From America, a book of short stories about his family’s migration to the USA. He lives in Northern California with his wife, artist and art teacher Dorothy Loizeaux Timourian.
