About the Author

A senior school leader with responsibility for raising the standards of teaching and learning, KJ O'Hara has had the experience of being inspected over 20 times by Ofsted and Local Authorities, including under the new Ofsted Framework. During his last post, along with his colleagues, he implemented and developed a set of classroom practices that raised the percentage of teaching graded good or better from 4o% to 82% in just 9 months and helped the school get out of Special Measures, under the new Ofsted Framework, in just 15 months. KJ O'Hara is the author of several books on teaching and the editor of the 'Abridged Shakespeare for Schools' series.
