About the Author

Richard de la Tour spent much of his childhood writing, hoping one day to share his vision of fantastic new worlds. While growing up in the Lake Tahoe Basin, he became interested in exploring the nature around him, and eventually taught wilderness skills programs in Northern California. Richard and his wife, Shatoiya, owned and operated a successful herb farm in Northern California for twelve years. This experience birthed two critically acclaimed books; The Herbalist’s Garden and The Earth Mother Herbal. Richard has lectured at several national venues, including the Smithsonian Institute. Richard has explored the tactile side of art, creating colorful glass art for eight years. He can be seen on the silver screen in Michael Moore’s documentary, Sicko, and soon will be appearing in the movie, Change Agents (working title). He is currently returning to his childhood dream, writing thoughtful science fiction.
