The Practice Matrix is a book based on the idea that just as athletes work out in a variety of different ways to train for races, musicians need to practice in different ways, too. This holistic approach to practicing can help you begin exploring how your movement and musical intentions can work together for the good of one another. You’ll also learn how to cultivate inclusive awareness, or the training of attention, to minimize the impact of concentration on your performance.
You choose the material you want to work on, but you have the framework of a ready-made session with specific categories and strategies to help you have a focused, productive, and efficient practice session.
In total there are 5 sessions, 17 categories and 63 different practice strategies which means you’ll never run out of possibilities for easily customizing your practice session and saving precious time.
