About the Author

Ryan M Blanck has taught all grades and academic levels of high school English for over thirteen years, and has taught AP English Language for four years. During that time as an AP teacher, he has an average pass rate of 69%, with a high of 79%. He served as an AP exam reader in 2012 and 2013, giving him firsthand knowledge of exactly how the AP essays are scored. In addition to a successful teaching career, Ryan has enjoyed success as a writer and editor. He has published three nonfiction books and numerous essays and articles for print and online publications. He has also edited several books to ready them for publication.
