Synopsis

John Madison Darwin is a stand-up guy. He's in his early thirties, and the ennui and apathy of his moderate-success as a government statistician has caught up with him. After a (disappointingly anticlimactic) breakup with his longtime girlfriend while writing an aimless parody of a popular poem, he decides to embark on a journey to fulfill his lifelong dream: to appear as a guest on his favorite comedy news program. In order to do this, he sets out writing the worst possible novel he can...DEAD TREE VERSION is a satirical, parodic comedy that is "an assault on pop-culture, subculture, counterculture--and good taste."

About this title

About the Author

Ian McLeod writes from the humid depths of Dixie. He was born somewhere in the mountains of Tennessee downwind from Oak Ridge, which might explain quite a bit. He grew up in the Heart of Dixie itself--sadly, the accent only comes out when he's good and mad.
