About the Author

Alan E. Nelson, Ed.D. is a pioneer in the field of young leader development. He has a doctorate in leadership from the University of San Diego, teaches at USC Marshall School of Business and the Naval Postgraduate School and is the Los Angeles Chair of the Institute for Management Studies. Dr. Nelson has written more than 20 books and over 200 articles, primarily on leadership and developing human potential. He has interacted with 1000s of students globally, to learn how to identify those gifted in organizational leadership and how to train and develop them.
