About the Author

Marco Gottardo was born in Padova, north-east Italy, in 1968. In 1995, he launched G-Tronic Robotics, a company specializing in the development of customized microprocessor and microcontroller systems. He went on to take a degree in Information Technology Engineering at the Polytechnic of Business Studies, Lugano, Switzerland, graduating with the highest honours in 1999. He continued his studies at Lugano and, in 2002, he was awarded a Master’s in Industrial Information Technology and Applied Robotics, again with the highest honours. He went on to do another master’s in 2010, this time in Electrical Engineering at the University of Padova. Marco is an expert in electronics, robotics and industrial automation and has been a lecturer and trainer in his field for nearly 20 years.
