About the Author
When Amy married Mark in 1994, she became a stepmother to four kids, ages three, five, 13 and 15. Since most books about step motherhood were as uplifting as lead balloons, Amy documented her own humorous and stressful experience in From Zero to Four Kids in Thirty Seconds. Her book includes numerous tips for stepmoms and is a fun, entertaining read. At the same time Amy was thrown head-first into step motherhood, she was also unwittingly plunged into the world of pet ownership. Something Furry Underfoot documents Amy's adventures learning how to care for and spoil a variety of pets and how she fell for each one. Amy's four photo animal books--about a dog, a ferret, a cat, and a domestic duck-- are sure to entertain and amuse children and adults alike. Amy works for the state of Michigan managing a grants program and lives with Mark and an ever-changing variety of animals. In her spare time, Amy also spoils outside critters, shoots photographs, and spends time outdoors. Amy also tends to get into trouble while traveling, the details of which may be the basis for her next book.
