About the Author

Roxie M. Rodriguez was born and raised in New York City. I have been writing since I was 14 years old because of all the things I have been through in my life that has been hard for me. When I was raped no one in my family believed me so I kept it to myself. That’s why I didn’t say a word about it again. At the age of 14 I started to go to the hospitals for self-harm (cutting) myself on my arms and in the hospital I learned how to go for days without eating. Now I’m doing better with God’s help and with special people in my life. The one thing I am most happy about is when I had my son (Jacob-Isaac). He makes me the happiest person alive. Jacy, I want you to know that mommy loves you.
